A recent YouTube video of a man throwing a stack of trash cans into the air with a knife has sparked outrage among the public.
The clip shows a man holding up a roll of stainless steel trash cans, then casually tossing them onto the ground.
While many might find this offensive, the video has received more than 1.6 million views and garnered more than 7,000 comments.
“I would never want to see anything like that,” said one YouTube user.
“It is not a good idea.
It is not safe.
It does not belong in a garbage can.”
The video has also been viewed more than 2.4 million times, and has been viewed by over 12,000 people.
“This is a very sad and unfortunate example of a person taking advantage of a broken system,” said the director of the Waste Management Alliance.
“It is a problem that exists across the board and is not going away.”
It’s not just the trashcan that the man is throwing.
He is also holding a knife to his neck and swinging it at the garbage cans, which are stacked on top of each other.
“He is clearly mentally disturbed,” the Waste Protection Association’s director of policy and public affairs, Michael Stolz, told CNN.
“That person has a lot of mental health issues.”
Stolz said the person who made the video also posted a message on the social media site saying he believed that the person should have been detained for longer.
“We have to be vigilant to protect the health and welfare of our citizens,” Stol, who is also the CEO of the California-based Waste Management Association, told the Los Angeles Times.
“But in the case of this person, that person should be held accountable for his actions.”
It is unknown whether the man who made this video has been charged.
